I am a Chartered Engineer and have been working as an Independent
Consultant since 1984.
I have a wide experience of commercial, industrial and domestic
projects and cases.
As well as being a Chartered Engineer I am a member of the Chartered
Institution of Building Services Engineers, Fellow Institution of
Public Health Engineers, Fellow of the Institute of Plumbing, Member
of the Worshipful Company of Plumbers and registered CORGI Gas Competent
person. I am a former chair of a British Standards Technical Committee
and a former director of the Institute of Plumbing.
I am registered as an expert with the U.K. Register of Experts
Witnesses, accredited Law Society Expert Witness and Society of
Expert Witnesses. I am a Practising Member British Academy of Experts
and Founding Member of the Expert Witness Institute (EWI).
I also carry out investigations for Insurance Companies and Loss
Adjustors.
I entered the profession as a student apprentice during August
1964 and qualified in 1969. I continued my academic training and
work development to complete my professional qualification when
I was awarded my Chartered Engineer status in 1983. I became an
Expert Witness during 1984. During May 1999 I have undertaken the
Academy of Experts accredited course for C.P.R. Compliant Expert
and the Single Joint Expert.
Since 1984 I have been instructed as an expert witness and given
oral evidence in Civil and Criminal Courts.
I have acted as the technical author on various works, including
the Institute of Plumbing's Engineering Design Manual, the Chartered
Institute of Building Services Engineering Design Manual "G"
together with the RIBA Specification Handbook.
The Expert Witness duties are carried out to B.S.EN. ISO 9001:
2000 "Quality Management" and BS.EN.ISO 14001: 1996 "Environmental
Management" systems to ensure compliance with C.P.R. Part 35
to the Appointor's instructions.
